Says it's cruelty-free. Not certified yet.
PETA says Victoria's Secret may not be cruelty-free, because it isn't on PETA's cruelty-free list. Victoria's Secret says none of its branded products, formulas or ingredients are tested on animals, and that since April 2021 the personal care products it sells in China are made in China. It isn't certified by Leaping Bunny / Cruelty Free International or PETA, so its cruelty-free status isn't verified.
Does Victoria's Secret test on animals?
Victoria's Secret says it doesn't test on animals, but it isn't certified, so nobody independent has checked. What it says is below.
What they say: Its own page says: "Victoria's Secret & Co. is against animal testing, and no branded products, formulations or ingredients are tested on animals." It also says that since April 2021, all personal care products it sells in China are made in China to avoid animal testing.
What that means: Victoria's Secret isn't certified by Leaping Bunny / Cruelty Free International or PETA yet, so nobody independent has checked this. Plenty of honest brands haven't applied, and some products, like paper goods, don't fit the main schemes well. It's the brand's word, so the choice is yours.
